Final word: Coffee Table turned DIY Ottoman

Wasn’t that simple? It always amazes me how re-purposing old furniture can save so much time! As with any great DIY project you can always customize the design to your heart’s content. Do you want drawers on your ottoman? Then find a coffee table that has them. Do you want rollers on the feet so you can move it around easy? Well good news, rollers cost only a few dollars to add! You can truly make this DIY ottoman into the furniture piece you desire.

What also helps is to consider what piece of furniture you are trying to pair your ottoman with. Depending on the color scheme and material you might need to tailor this DIY ottoman design accordingly. For example, if you have a leather couch you might want to consider an ottoman that takes on a neutral color so that it doesn’t distract from the distinct style of the leather couch, or anything else in the room! Also in that example, you could consider using leather in place of fabric for the build, even using PU leather to keep the cost low.
